P-1 visa classification is available to outstanding athletes, athletic teams, and entertainment companies (including circuses) with a job offer from a U.S. employer. This type of visa is issued to internationally known athletes, who are coming individually or as part of a group or team, and entertainment group to participate in various athletic programs in the U.S. It is also designed for entertainers to participate individually or as a group in various entertainment programs. Entertainment groups could, for example, be the circus. This visa is classified in two as P1A & P1B. P1A is for internationally recognized athletes or athletic teams and for individuals or members of an internationally recognized entertainment group.
P-3 Visas:
The P3 visa is granted to culturally unique artists and entertainers, coming to the U.S. individually or as a group, to develop, interpret, represent, coach, or teach unique or traditionally ethnic, folk, cultural, musical, theatrical, or artistic performance or presentation which will further the understanding or development of that art form. The program may be of a commercial or noncommercial nature.
